Operating as a key business that is part of a global medical supply chain, we are still open during the coronavirus pandemic. We ensure our customers that we are closely monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on our business so that it may not affect our day to day operations. We have not experienced any meaningful impact to date.
Cable Harnesses UK is doing its utmost to ensure the wellbeing of all its staff therefore as a business we have implemented the following mitigations to stop the spread of coronavirus.
We recommend that all of our staff follow the guidelines advised by the Welsh Government and the World Health Organization (WHO) which include:
  • Only leave the house if you have a reasonable excuse to do so.
  • Stay local and avoid travelling more than 5 miles.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze.
  • Put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards.
  • Don’t touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects in your home, such as door handles and taps.
  • Shop responsibly, follow advice in stores, and only buy what you need for yourself and your family, and those you’re supporting.
  • To stay at home if you suspect you may have caught coronavirus until your symptoms have ended and to ensure that other household members self-isolate for the recommended 14 days.
Furthermore, our shop-floor facilities have undergone the following adaptations in order to promote social distancing within the workplace:
  • Workstations are kept apart by the recommended 2 - metre rule.

  • Our factory has implemented 2 metre floor markings to promote social distancing whilst staff queue to clock in/ out of work.

  • Our factory now promotes social distancing/ good hygiene throughout our shop floor, communal areas and toilets by use of visual displays.

  • Hand sanitizer and face masks have been made readily available along with disinfectant for all work surfaces to be cleaned before, during and after shifts.

  • Staggered work breaks.
